Real Winter= Shoveling + Snow Day
Last weekend we went x-country skiing with our Chaska buddies at the University of Minnesota Arboretum. I was in heaven for the two hours we were there. The snow was so soft, the temperature was perfect for my skis, and it was beautiful. The trees were covered with snow and the still falling snow made it so serene. It was very quiet and there was almost no one else there.
I kept thinking it was all going to melt and that it was the only time this winter I was going to see real snow. Wrong. We are getting dumped on-- school is out, the snow is beautiful, and has required many shifts of shoveling.
Maybe it is from growing up in Northern Minnesota, but there is something so fun about being out shoveling, especially at night. So I was out several times today with Jff. Here are some pics:
